An operator committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan in a factory room at Uddogpuram under Paratapur police station area of Meerut. Seeing the dead body, there was a stir among the workers who reached the factory. On information, the police reached the spot and investigated the incident. Police found a suicide note from the pocket of the operator, in which the reason for committing suicide was written. Police sent the dead body for postmortem.
According to the information, Prem Kumar Shahi, a resident of Nepal, was working as an operator in Om Sai Pipe Factory located in Uddogpuram for the last ten years. His family had shifted to Gorakhpur two months ago.

Told that Prem Kumar’s in-laws house is in Gorakhpur. Prem Kumar has three sons, the elder son Sagar had taken money from a usurer on interest, which he could not repay. The father-son were being threatened by the usurers. Distressed by this, father Prem Kumar committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan at night.
Prem Kumar was given a room by the factory owner Moolchand in the factory itself. Police say that the information about moneylenders can be found only from the mobile of the deceased. Complete investigation is being done, as soon as the usurers are detected, they will be arrested immediately.
